I've played and hacked RPGs since childhood but only now mustered the gumption to really try my hand at GMing. My background is mostly in D&D, but I've recently branched out into the indie scene and gotten very inspired by the creative settings and mechanics from the works of guys like Vincent Baker, John Harper, and Adam Koebel.
I play in a regular Blades in the Dark game (now being hacked into the Castlevania-esque Age of Blood), and my goal for this year is to GM or play in a 'greatest hits' type of RPG buffet, sampling what each game has to uniquely offer. Games on my hit list include some PbtA (probably Dungeon World), some Burning Wheel (probably Mouse Guard), anything Forged in the Dark (A Nocturne and Blades Against Darkness for sure), and of course Dogs in the Vineyard.
This is a little down the road, but I have a mind to hack Dogs into a different setting and couch it in faction and downtime mechanics with the aim of turning it into a post-industrial/fantasy travelogue inspired by TV shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Full Metal Alchemist, and Violet Evergarden. Real anime 'see the world and meet people with sparkly eyes' type stuff.
