Bio

I’m an experienced DM who has been playing Dungeons and Dragons since it was just “Dungeons and Dragons,” not even “Advanced” yet back in the mid-to-late seventies. I DM’d professionally at the Sword of the Phoenix and The Atlanta Hobby Center, the two largest game stores in the Southeast, back in the day, and more recently ran 5thEd games for my teen daughters and their friends. I tend to structure games with rich and complex stories and characters, conflicted interests, warring factions, politics and economics, all embued with magic, mystery, and mayhem. I tend to favor clever role play over hack-and-slash combat. Parties that rely on brute force alone will fair poorly when they discover there are much bigger fish in the sea who can only be outsmarted, not outfought. To be successful, adventurers will need to pool their talents and work together to figure out what is really going on, execute creative solutions to complex challenges, and if they are lucky, bend the arc of justice for good or ill on a global scale.
