I'm a 30+ year old software engineer from Puerto Rico that's been playing RPG and Strategy video games for over 20 years. My first experience with P&P RPG were trying to make some homebrew systems based on old Excelsior: Lysandia games back when I was 13 when I heard of the concept of P&P by some friends. I largely enjoyed making maps and monster stats based of crude drawings for my system, but never really played it for long. Since then most of my experience was on JRPGs and many incarnations of D&D video games, and a decade long obsession over sandbox Elder Scroll games starting with Morrowind. Back in 2013 I got the P&P bug and started hunting for local game groups near me, found some, but getting into face games proved hard, but I discovered Roll20 and started playing Pathfinder and played several campaigns and oneshots. Once D&D 5E came out I was already engrossed in the scene and jumped immediately on it as an eager new DM and ran a face game with my local friends using Roll20 as a map tool proyected on flat TVs and other tools. I've been active in Roll20 ever since.
