Hey there. Filling out bios always feels weird. We all are so complex with a little crazy in us. So I guess the short version is:
I like RPGs LOL. I have GMed all but one RPG I have ever played (Cyber Punk 2020), but that is only because no one ever wanted to play ;)
Like many of you, I really dig playing a variety of characters from pensive and cautious to brash and explosive. Rather than thinking in terms of winning (only bad GMs force players to think like that) I focus more on the thrill of immersing myself into whatever role I'm in. RPGs like board games are great social experiences and I find the player interactions to be just as awesome as the game itself.
I am not a fan of grids in ROLE PLAY games. It takes away from the ROLE PLAYING part too much. I find that people underestimate just how good their imagination is and the grids are an obstacle. If I want grids I will play a board game :)
As for the games, I have played well...here is the not so short list: Star War D6, D&D, AD&D, Pathfinder, D&D4e (not a fan!), Marvel Super Heroes, CyberPunk 2020, Lord of the Rings, World of Darkness (BEST storytelling system to date!!), Rifts (That includes like 8 different books and settings in that world), Zombie Apocalypse game based on WoD rules, Over World (A hyper Sci-Fi/Horror), Ember: Rise from the Ashes, Dungeon World, Apocalypse World, GURPS, Legend of the Five Rings, and Welcome to the Sticks (uses the Threshold Engine).
Games I would love to play are Godlike (O.R.E.) and anything else someone is GMing. One-shots or recurring games.
