Bio

I'm a tabletop veteran in the EST/EDT time zone. I started tabletop gaming as a young teen in my mom's basement with 2e AD&D, and while I have experience with a number of different game systems, these days I mostly play D&D (5e) and Call of Cthulhu (7e). I can be convinced to try other systems, especially if a game's premise is particularly interesting. I'm a teacher by day during the school year, so I typically CAN'T participate in very late-night sessions -- my bedtime is a very real thing. I'm comfortable with gaming as a player and as a GM, but my work schedule typically limits my GMing to the summers, or to non-weekly or rotating/round-robin style games. I use Discord to communicate and organize, and have a preference for groups that expect mics and video to be on for the majority of any given session. I am a responsible adult who proactively communicates and shows up reliably and on time to commitments.

I really like narrative, story-heavy games with in-depth characterization, and am most interested in playing with groups where those things are in focus. While I also love tactical combat/strategy, I prefer that it not be the primary pillar or focus of my tabletop gaming experience -- I'm not here to dungeon crawl and do literally nothing else. If I crave that playstyle, I'll fire up a video game. I like games that take themselves seriously; this doesn't mean that I want a humorless table, but it does mean that I'm not into slapstick or comedy-focused games, and I'm not interested in games allowing character concepts that are jokes or memes.

Mature themes are fine as long as everyone involved is an adult, both in the sense of actual chronological age and demonstrated behavior, and also as long as everyone actively consents to said content being included in the game. I DO NOT play TTRPGs with people under the age of 21. In all other respects, I am not interested in playing with groups who exclude people based on gender, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, or other such characteristics -- I (and my games) are 100% inclusive of diversity and I don't play nicely with bigots.

Please note: I will probably not apply to your game table with a character concept already in mind. It is vanishingly rare that I play the same character more than once, and I prefer to build my character concepts around the game that the GM is running as opposed to injecting something preconceived and trying to force a good fit.
