I'm obsessed with classic fantasy: might, magic, and humanity. I believe in finding individuality and narrative depth within the mundane, rather than reaching for extreme, over-the-top gestures. That’s where the real magic happens. I have deep respect for the effort DMs put in, and I know firsthand how crucial active, appreciative players are for keeping that fire alive. I mesh best with chatty, good-natured people.

As a Player:

I’m a combat junkie and a proud power-gamer—but only when it serves my character’s story first. I’ll happily pay any price to tell a compelling narrative and then min-max around that framework. Flexibility is my strong suit; I’ll play pretty much anything. I love roleplay, writing detailed backstories, and making sure my characters feel fully alive.

It's vital to me that a DM cares about player character concepts and intentionally weaves them into the world and encounters. I’m naturally quiet and introverted (though I can play the extrovert).

Biggest Weakness: I tend to take D&D way too seriously. I do have fun—but I’m not always good at showing it.

As a DM:

D&D is collaborative storytelling. We’re building this world together. If you’re looking for a game where you can sit back, roll dice, and watch the story happen around you, this isn’t it. We might get a relaxed flow down the line, but I’m going to ask a lot from you upfront to set the tone.

I am rules-driven and appreciate in-the-moment creativity. If you want to try something wild, go for it—roll high enough, and maybe it works. Afterward, if it’s a direction you want to keep exploring, I’ll homebrew a long-term solution and help set realistic expectations.

My campaigns are long-form and story-driven—rarely one-shots. I like to challenge my players. You’ll need solid plans (including plans to escape). I have little sympathy for character deaths when someone makes a stubborn, in-character choice but expects to dodge the consequences because of "hero plot armor." My sense of realism is subjective, and you’ll get a feel for it only by playing.

Biggest Weakness: Puzzles. They’re a slog for me to build and often not worth the effort. I’ll try if they’re important to you, but it’s not my strong suit.

What I Appreciate in a Player:

Empathetic extroverts—or just anyone who’s appreciative and expressive. I need praise. I hate criticism (even the constructive kind). Want to bring me feedback? Butter me up with at least three compliments first. Or just let me know the campaign’s not a fit for you.

Players who bring creativity: write silly recaps, manage a music playlist, draw stick figures of characters/scenes, post in-character journals. Any creative energy is a plus.

I’m not interested in hearing about your other campaigns or characters during/around our game. Set up a board game night for that stuff. I'll join and share stories. I am focused on our game when we’re together.

I struggle with suspending disbelief; I constantly question the logic of in-game situations. But I aim to balance that with intellect and creativity, and above all, my campaigns are centered on your characters and their journey. I want you to feel empowered, heroic, and like a true force in the world. With the right setup, the "Rule of Cool" is absolutely within reach.

But know this: I expect you to be invested. I’m not fulfilled by casual storytelling or throwaway bits. We’ll have our laughs—comedic relief is essential—but there may be real costs if it happens at the wrong moment.

Your character isn’t a bit or gimmick. They must feel real and fit the world. Want to bring in a comedic concept? I will support you to the best of my ability—but come to me with a nuanced, well-thought-out pitch. Expect to put in twice the narrative effort to make it believable. Think long con comedy—slow-burn, reality-based humor that pays off over time.
