If you're looking for a player for any RPG, especially an uncommon one, please feel free to send me a PM!

My timezone: US Eastern (UTC -5)

My gaming style: https://goo.gl/7T1jBP

My resume: A guy with a rooster avatar said I don't /seem/ crazy.

I truly love tabletop gaming. I like games that let the storytelling do the work, but also have delineated mechanics that enrich the narrative. If you clicked on the link above (do it, I recommend everyone takes that assessment!) you can see my interests lie in cooperative, strategic, narrative gameplay and a social environment at the table.

It's my hobby to constantly try different RPGs and find the best there are, then evaluate what components of them make them good. For many years I only played D&D, and I eventually became very unhappy with it because it's mechanically geared toward a very specific style of play that I don't enjoy.

MVP Systems: Firefly RPG (Cortex Plus system), Torchbearer, Apocalypse World
Honorable Mentions: Cypher System* (with a great big asterisk), Lady Blackbird, Wanderhome (Belonging Outside Belonging)

Systems that I'm familiar with in some capacity (feel free to ask me about any of them):
D&D 1e-5e, Pathfinder, Iron Heroes (not well known, but my favorite D&D 3.5 hack), D20 Modern, Heroe's Tears (award for worst made RPG), Star Wars SAGA, Dungeon Crawl Classics, RISUS, Dark Heresy, 40K: Deathwatch, Only War, Mouse Guard, Torchbearer, Numenera, Cypher System, The Strange, Call of Cthulhu, James Bond 007 RPG/Covert Ops, Eclipse Phase, Firefly RPG, Iron Kingdoms, RWBY Simple homebrew, Paper Quest homebrew, Shadowrun (award for ruining a good setting with awful rules), Paranoia, World Wide Wrestling (Powered by the Apocalypse), Apocalypse World, Blades in the Dark, Savage Worlds, FATE, Microscope, Hillfolk, Vampire: Dark Ages 20th, Lady Blackbird, Polaris: Chivalric Tragedy at Utmost North, Maid RPG, Lasers & Feelings, Danger Patrol Pocket Edition, Fear Itself, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, Big Eyes Small Mouth, Ghastly Affair, Mothership, Robotech, Escape from Dino Island, Comrades, Rapscallion, Monster of the Week, Wanderhome, Goblin Punks, Band of Blades, Old School Essentials... I'm probably missing some.

Top picks for playing again (strictly based on my own experience): Blades in the Dark, Microscope, Lady Blackbird, Polaris: Chivalric Tragedy at Utmost North, Paranoia, Danger Patrol, Rapscallion

RPG Wish List (in no way exhaustive):
anything made by Evil Hat, FATE, Burning Wheel, Free Market, 13th Age, Arthur Pendragon, Lacuna, Dogs in the Vineyard, Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple, Delta Green, Nobilis, Stars Without Number, Deadlands (any system), TORG, Myriad Song, Legend of the Five Rings, Warhammer FANTASY, Fall of Magic, Misspent Youth, Sleepaway, Dream Askew, Dream Apart, Bluebeard's Bride, Agon, Ironsworn, TROIKA!, Tavern Tales, World of Dungeons, DIE, Follow, Index Card RPG, Tunnel Goons, Beyond the Wall, Sharp Swords & Sinister Spells, Scrolls & Swords, Summerland, Blue Rose, Cortex Prime, Ultraviolet Grasslands, Wildsea
