Fully toilet-trained roleplayer, English, 48 years old.
I live in a cabin in a hedge on the edge of a field where I grow vegetables and offer mentoring, facilitation and training in person, online and by phone.
I play online ttrpgs thanks to the twin mircales of solar power and 4G.
I haven't had a TV for over 10 years and don't consume much modern media at all.
My main influences as a GM come from mythology and folk tales, as well as the absurdity of so-called modern civilised living. Weaving the two together into a tale that feels both old and modern at the same time is my guiding north star for TTRPGs.
I am passionate about the experience of cooperative storytelling and I encourage others to co-create the game-world with me. I focus on tending to the atmosphere we create together at the table and the way we adventure together is the vehicle for that - be it exploring dusty ruins, pulling strings at a high-society ball or getting crunchy with spell and blade.
I much prefer engaging with theatre-of-the-mind, as no virtual tabletop can create what we can imagine - but they can limit it. That said, I do appreciate some of what virtual tabletops can bring and have been known to drag one kicking and screaming into my games.
