30-something ladyperson. Friendly and patient, willing to teach new folks any systems I know. Love learning lore and planning more characters than I could ever feasibly play - which I guess translates well into foreverDMing now? (Don't let the number of GMed games frighten you off - I am just too sentimental to delete them :D)
TTRPG Experience: a variety of systems, mostly narrative-focused with some crunch, but always open to learning more! I'd really like to play more of my fav systems: Spire / Heart and Burning Wheel / related games.
D&D Specific: Loved 2e lore and played 3.5e as my first system, but it was very on and off, mostly just solo reading sourcebooks and single-player video games. Playtested "D&D Next" at PAX East all those years ago, really enjoyed it, thoroughly read the 5e materials when released ... then barely ever had a chance to play IRL. Virtual tabletops have been a gift for sure!
If it counts for anything, I do have about 15 years spent on text-based roleplaying without a TTRPG to back up actions, so collaborative storytelling comes easily to me. Translating that to verbal improv acting can be a challenge at times, but honestly, the character development aspects of games are WAY more interesting to me than super-tactical min-maxed combat -- though I still enjoy a good fight, too!
Eagerly seeking a long-term group here, so if any of that sounds like your jam, no matter what the system, please feel free to contact me anytime! :D
