⚔️ My name is Teague Urquhart and I am a Game Master and super fan of Tabletop Role Playing Games!
📖 I have been a player of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) since 2018 and took up the mantle of Game Master (GM) later that same year. I love story-telling and aim to provide my groups with a solid narrative that can be explored and built upon. I'm always seeking to better my work and provide more immersive and entertaining experiences for my players.
🧑🏫 I am also a Educator and have worked in the field with youth for the past 6 years. I bring this patience and supporting skill set to my games.
🥾 I hike, forage, bird watch, and bushcraft as hobbies and bring this natural knowledge into my games to life.
🗣 Communication with my groups is ongoing and constructive to help new players explore the immersive worlds that TTRPGs have offer without feeling like they have to learn everything the game has to offer on the first day. I am also a practitioner of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and utilize its techniques in my games.
📲 I also run the Bardic Academy Discord Server that offers workshops and one-shot games to build community and experience for players and Game Masters.
DM Style
🎭 I love to change my voice and demeanor for each character I inhabit and will aim to stay in character unless the players have questions for me.
🎶 I seek out and curate music, tokens, battle maps, and art for player immersion.
🎨 I try to paint a picture with my descriptions while not over describing. The players lead the way and I improvise along the way with my knowledge of the world.
📝 I will be prepared for each session and take point form notes to keep the transitions between session smooth.
0️⃣ A firm believer in session 0 to establish player and Game Master etiquette and meet everyone with where they are at in terms of experience and what they want out of the game.
🏳️🌈 I welcome all people to my table and seek to keep everyone comfortable in and out of the game.
💪 I want to welcome new players to the game and will spend the time to get them up to speed. I also ask all other players in my game to be open to having new players.

“Teague’s NPCs are the best! He puts so much attention to detail into them. High quality voices and roleplay choices that are very unique and distinct. He is also very thoughtful when adding player character backstory or interest nuggets which really pulls players in which helps connecting early with your character as well as the other player characters and npcs. Teague has some thoughtful rules at his table that at first seem restrictive but you quickly realize this helps IMMENSELY with allowing players play to their character skills so that players can feel comfortable in the spotlight, feel important rather than left behind if there is a gap in player experience (new vs veteran) or roleplay comfort levels.” -Amanda
I have played in a few games with Teague and he is amazing all around. Very caring and sweet, emotionally intelligent and aware of people's feelings. Very funny and creative, he is a gifted story teller who I have seen embody the characters he plays! I really recommend anyone to jump into one of Teagues games! We miss him in our games and look forward to him being back! Anyone is very lucky to stumble I to one of his games! -Will
I've played with Teague through LMoP and CoS and he's probably the best GM I've had. His games are very fluid with very little trouble in transitioning between scenes or sudden unexpected encounters with Strahd! I never felt railroaded or forced into situations that weren't my fault whilst also facing consequences for my own dumb decisions. Being Queer, I've also found it difficult to find groups where I feel welcomed; Teague and his game were welcoming from the start. -Maria
