I played my first RPG in 11th grade of high school in 1984. The first game I played was 2e Gamma World, and the GM was my friend David and the other play was my friend Todd. Shortly after playing Gamma World for a while, David quickly introduced to us Star Frontiers and then 1e Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. David, Todd, and I played throughout our 12th grade year and then after graduation. Unfortunately, my friend David died in an accident a year after graduation. I started playing 1e AD&D with some other friends from high school.
After playing for a while with this new group, I met my friend John who introduced me to his group of friend who played 3e RuneQuest. I started playing with this new group of friends and I loved the skill-based system of RuneQuest. I was becoming dissatisfied with my 1e AD&D games and finding RuneQuest and the group kept my interest alive for role-playing games. After playing in the two different groups for a while I was able to merge the groups and we played both 3e RuneQuest and 1e Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Since the late 80's I have been playing with the same friends. Over the years we have played many game systems, and created our own home brew systems. We have played every edition and version of Dungeons & Dragons to date. We've played GURPS and HERO as well as many small press games. I am a RPG collector as well as a RPG enthusiast.
