Hi I’m Daniel,
and am looking for a game of Pathfinder RPG with emphasis on the role-play and fun aspect of the game. I prefer High-Fantasy-Settings (very much like Golarion or Forgotten Realms) and a good storyline.
- The story definitely has some depth? Great!
- It’s an epic tale? Even better!
I hope to find like-minded people here to enjoy some nice RPG sessions (I’m open to both Voice- and Text-based playing, even Video if my connection will proof stable and fast enough for that).
Although I'm german playing the game’s in english shouldn't be to big a problem.
For the "Bio"-part just a quick (RPG-minded) introduction of myself:
I’ve played RPGs for almost a decade starting in the early 90's. Back then it all began with Das schwarze Auge but quickly moved on to AD&D 2nd Edition, which was my favoured RPG at that time. I also played some Shadowrun and a bit Warhammer Fantasy RPG (not the one with the miniatures, though).
Since the one guy among my friends who every now and then brought in something new about RPG was me, I almost always ended up being the GM. Although I never had a problem with that and pretty much enjoyed it I always wanted to try the player-side of the game as well, but somehow it just never happened.
Well time passed and when in the early 2000's RL finally got in the way (mainly in the form of my children) I just didn't find time for playing any more and so had to take a long break from RPG which should last for almost another decade.
It's only been about one and a half years ago that a colleague of mine who happened to co-work on the german translation of Pathfinder RPG introduced me to that game. I almost instantaneously caught fire and started buying and reading rulebooks, sourcebooks, modules and got more and more involved with RPGing again.
After investigating for some time on the possibilities of finding a group, I ended up with the concept of playing online and thus one day stumbled across roll20. I’ve had a look at a few VTTs by that time but (like with Pathfinder) I almost at once knew that that’s the one that would do the trick for me.
So here I am looking for a group to take part in as a player while working on my own campaign to run as GM (most probably one of Paizos APs) rather sooner than later (but not quite ready to start yet).
