Names Abel, but you can also call me Sumoobear 15+ years of playing TTRPGs. Usually the DM/GM for DnD or Pathfinder. I have run multiple games and have helped players both create characters and answer questions about ruling. I am familiar with CoC, Burn Bryte, Pathfinder, DnD 3.5 and 5th, but Pathfinder being my all-time favorite. My most familiar rulesets are Pathfinder 1st and DnD 5th.
When it comes to ruling and leniency I thoroughly believe players make mistakes, DM's make mistakes and backtracking is not an issue and should never be. Just relax, have fun, and have an open mind about calls so everyone not just "You" are having fun.
Hombrew content are liked and hated by the community, with some saying yes and others no. The way I see it is that hombrew is just custom material, its neither good nor bad. Hombrew is hombrew and that's all it is some extra bits. What makes a game entertaining is not the content but the players and GM working together to develop a story. What makes something unentertaining (Bad) is when players and GM become toxic towards one another. Homebrew material is unrelated to whether a games is fun or not, but should always be discussed amongst the players and GM in some way as this kind of change to the rules should not be secret.
I strive to create a friendly and approachable environment as I will never tolerate people being hostile or aggressive towards one another, this kind of behavior should never be allowed. Belittling, passive aggressiveness, insults (Racial slurs/cursing/etc), or a general lack of respect towards anyone its just something a group should not do to one another. Something we should strive to be whenever we gather to meet for a game "a group of Friends". Their is a difference between joking and being a jerk and that line is different for everyone, we must be mindful and remember its a game and we all came to have fun.
I run Pay-to-Play if you have a group and an idea of the adventure please hit me up and make me an offer and we can negotiate form their. On occasion I do run free games for fun feel free to join if a spot is open.
