I'm jumping into DnD because of some streamers who made me laugh so hard I cried. I really enjoyed the storytelling, acting, and creative solutions to problems.
In the year or so I've been DMing, I've come to appreciate the difficultly involved in prepping for the often unexpected actions of players, but love the challenge of making those unexpected actions meaningful.
Been almost two years now. Finished my first ever campaign as a player, and my campaign as a DM is approaching the climax of the rising action. After that, things narrow to the conclusion, and will end in short order. I'm not sure how to feel. I've tried so hard to balance things and make sure everyone had fun. My players became the best friends I've had since I was 8. I don't want it to end, but I know that all good stories NEED an end. I hope the group enjoys it.
