I hold to a simple to understand yet difficult to follow philosophy when it comes to DMing. The world is mine, but the story is yours.
I'm a voice actor and have been creating fantasy worlds for over fifteen years, and started DM-ing after reading through the rpghorrorstories subreddit about first games that were so bad they put people off from gaming and thinking to myself "I can do better." Neurodivergent who loves to improv and craft npcs and locations on the fly. I specialize in homebrewed games with a heavy emphasis on player freedoms and in-depth worldbuilding. By this I mean that I will never try to railroad your party or punish you for not doing what I had expected. My NPC's are not just quest givers, each of them, planned or not, has their own life, their own goals and motivations, their own histories and connections. Every action has a reaction, and every action the party takes, big or small, will have effects and consequences throughout the world.
If you're interested in joining one of my campaigns, or if you'd like to give me a test run with one of my one-shots, please feel free to shoot me a message, and I'll respond as quickly as I can. I'm easiest to reach on discord @GM-Tavian#2320
From a technical aspect I'm most experienced in 5E but have played shadowrun, savage worlds, pathfinder, and more, and am on a pre-order list for the new Marvel Multiverse RPG handbook. My players will tell you that I am by no means a rules lawyer, so long as something makes sense or doesn't.
