Immersion runs live and play-by-post tabletop games and creates original tabletop resources built around living worlds, player agency, cinematic action, meaningful consequences, and a “try it” over “no” GM style. Player choices genuinely matter.
The goal is to make the setting feel like a place rather than a backdrop.
Actions have consequences. NPCs have their own motives, routines, relationships, and interests. Places continue to change whether the player characters are present or not. Small choices can create large—and sometimes unexpected—consequences.
Characters are not passengers in somebody else’s plot. Their backgrounds, relationships, ambitions, enemies, beliefs, and decisions help shape what the campaign becomes.
Spotlight should move around the table, but the players remain the protagonists.
Campaigns favor open worlds and meaningful choices over predetermined paths. Players can pursue the party’s goals, personal ambitions, unexpected opportunities, or ideas nobody anticipated during preparation.
Where useful, scenes emphasize more than what characters can simply see: sound, weather, terrain, atmosphere, physical sensations, social environment, and other details that help make a place feel present.
Some things are impossible. Many are merely improbable.
Creative ideas should usually receive a fair attempt rather than an automatic refusal. If an idea is exciting, plausible enough for the setting, and the group is enjoying it, the rules should help determine what happens rather than shut the idea down before it starts.
Rules matter because they give the game structure and consistency. They are not the point of the game.
When interpretation is uncertain, the goal is to keep play moving fairly and preserve the experience rather than spend the evening arguing over technicalities.
The preferred tone generally favors dramatic, larger-than-life action and meaningful consequences over constant character replacement.
Difficulty can absolutely rise when a group wants a harsher campaign, but the GM is not competing against the players. This is collaborative storytelling, not GM-versus-player play.
The GM already controls the rest of the world.
Regular GM-controlled characters do not exist to take equal billing with the player characters. Recurring NPC allies may exist when the story calls for them, but the campaign spotlight belongs to the players.
Romantic relationships can be part of character development when everyone involved is comfortable with them. Explicit sexual content is not part of play.
Domestic abuse, child abuse, and sexual assault are not used as entertainment, plot devices, or material for graphic roleplay.
There is plenty of room for danger, crime, horror, cruelty, and villainy without relying on those subjects.
Immersion supports both live online tabletop campaigns and play-by-post games, with Discord used for communication and community.
Individual game pages provide the system, format, schedule, availability, pricing, and participation details for each campaign.
Current games, upcoming projects, session activity, and available seats are maintained separately so this profile stays useful even as the lineup changes.
Immersion is built on more than two decades of tabletop gaming experience across multiple systems, genres, and styles of play.
The common thread is simple:
Create worlds worth entering, give players room to matter inside them, and make the time spent together memorable.
