I'm a roleplayer, through and through. I'm not interested in the dice-slinging elements of tabletop RPGs - in fact, some of the best sessions I've ever played have only had a few dice rolled the entire time. Combat is best when it's not the character's life that's threatened... it's best when the character's story is threatened. Their heart, their desires, their purpose. Both as a DM and as a player I hold true to this, and while I do enjoy battles when they come, it's the story I'm here for.
My game system of choice is now Burning Wheel. I've grown tired of D&D/Pathfinder as systems; their focus on the 6 second combat is unappealing to me.
