Bio

Hello, my name is Ibrahim, and I’m from the UK. I have been involved in tabletop role-playing games for around 20 years, and this hobby has become one of the most important creative outlets in my life.

My journey into role-playing games was not always an easy one. When I was younger and attending college, I discovered a local gaming club where people gathered to play games such as Magic: The Gathering, Star Trek CCG, and various role-playing games. I was fascinated by these communities and always wanted to be part of the storytelling and adventures that people were creating together.

I started with simple games and beginner products, including a Star Trek Enterprise beginner deck. It was nothing compared to the collections some players had, but it was something I enjoyed and was proud of. Unfortunately, when some people discovered that I had a learning disability, I experienced exclusion and was made to feel like I did not belong in those communities.

Instead of giving up, I decided to teach myself. I purchased the rulebooks and systems I could afford and spent years learning how different games worked. Over time, I taught myself many different role-playing systems, including Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, Legend of the Five Rings, Call of Cthulhu, Mage: The Ascension, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, and many others. I have always enjoyed discovering new systems, understanding their mechanics, and finding new ways to tell stories.

One person who had a major influence on my journey as a Game Master was Adam Koebel, the creator of Dungeon World. During a difficult time in my life, Adam took the time to help me better understand role-playing games, storytelling, and what it means to be a GM. Although we never had the opportunity to sit down and play a game together, we spent many hours discussing systems, game design, and running sessions. His advice and encouragement helped me develop my confidence and inspired me to continue growing as a Game Master.

Because of these experiences, I developed a strong belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to tell a story. Role-playing games should be about creativity, imagination, friendship, and giving people a place where they can belong.

For many years, I have been a Game Master, running campaigns online through platforms such as Roll20. I have always preferred to run games because I enjoy creating worlds, helping players develop characters, and seeing people experience memorable moments together. I have run long-term campaigns lasting several years, including an eight-year Werewolf: The Apocalypse campaign, as well as many shorter campaigns and one-shots.

I have also challenged myself by learning complex systems, including games like Mage: The Ascension, which required a lot of dedication and patience. I believe that learning new systems is part of the joy of this hobby, and I enjoy helping others understand the rules and feel comfortable at the table.

Although I have spent most of my time as a GM, one of my biggest dreams has always been to experience the other side of the table — to join a game as a player, create a character of my own design, and become part of someone else’s story.

I am a player who enjoys storytelling, character development, exploration, and working together with other players. I appreciate welcoming and respectful groups where everyone gets a chance to contribute and have fun.

I am based in London, UK (GMT), and I am generally available during evenings, usually after around 10 PM UK time (around 6 PM EST). If you are looking for a player with years of tabletop experience, a passion for storytelling, and a genuine love for role-playing games, I would love the opportunity to join your adventure.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I look forward to creating new memories and stories with fellow players.
