I avidly played OD&D and Ad&D back in the late 1970's and early1980's. I was working in theater, and got oversaturated being immersed in/around acting; this somehow took away my enjoyment of roleplaying. So I stopped playing completely. I just started playing D&D5e in 2018, after a thirty-five year 'time out'! I feel like I've stumbled across one of my long-forgotten childhood forts in the woods. Every game session is exciting, new, fun; yet also somehow nostalgic and melancholy. I love playing 'team-player' characters. The new friends I've made through gaming are a wonderful bonus!
