I value maturity, punctuality, and creativity.
I've played Vampire the Masquerade's 'World of Darkness: Changeling' for a couple of years in the past and have been playing D&D:5E since 2015 on a regular basis as both a player and a DM.
I lean more towards the role-play aspect of the game, but certainly enjoy well-described thematic combat as well. I also really like to sink my teeth into the lore of a given world, and get acquainted with both PCs and NPCs and build relationships with them.
I usually enjoy playing more monstrous races like tabaxi, changelings, minotaurs, naga, etc., usually with a focus on intelligent calculating personalities which bring utility and variety to the group dynamic.
A few examples of what I've played before: a changeling artificer merchant that mended broken equipment and made clockwork trinkets in his gypsy cart, an ambassador naga sea sorceress / life cleric who was an envoy for her people and tasked to build strong diplomatic relations, a kind tabaxi ex-slave totem barbarian who protected his party as if they were family, a minotaur conquest paladin that imposed fear in the hearts of his foes, a gentle yuan-ti necromancy wizard who used the dead as make-shift doctors and nurses in the fight against a virulent plague in her province, a charming changeling arcane trickster rogue with a pirate flavour and a parrot-dragon familiar, etc.
