I've played dozens of different table-top RPGs since I bought Basic D&D in the 80s. I started as DM and I've been the DM/GM/Storyteller/Referee/Facilitator for 100s of game sessions over the years. I've even taught a university course about the conceptual and social nature of TTRPGs.
