Started playing in 2017 with one shots at a LGS and now I run a minimum of 1 campaign and play in 1-2 at a time. I own several sourcebooks on DnD Beyond as well as physically, and I thoroughly enjoy their content. My games will always have access to WOTC Forgotten Realms Lore until I can better learn the lore of Eberron, Ravnica, Ravenloft,
and Theros.
When running a game, I feel it is important to let the players enjoy themselves. Rules are in place to help guide the story, but sometimes people wanna do some cool things that aren't dictated in the rules. Adaptation is essential to ensuring a fun game, and rules are meant to be followed with a modicum of interpretation by the person running the game. Having a fun game is the core of having a good game.
As a player, I enjoy healthy amounts of Role Play and Combat and do not think that combat is systematically exclusive from RP. I enjoy engaging my co-players, and creating opportunities for them to shine in RP or in their assumed Group Role.
