Tried playing original D&D recently but it’s far to basic and probably best left with nostalgia. Some of my favourite computer games have been Baldurs gate/ ice wind dale on PC. Was a massive fan of d&d 3.5 edition but became unmanageable at higher levels. 4th edition just didn't grab me (It felt like playing an MMO). 5th edition was a great improvement and perfect for beginners. But my new ruleset of choice is Pathfinder 2e. I love just how much you can customise the players with feats, skills and ancestries. Having three actions is amazing (but sometimes still not enough). Even the weapons have traits and special rules!
I don't get chance to play very often as my local group lacks DM enthusiasts... So I would love to play in someone else's campaign especially if it was Pathfinder 2e. Otherwise I love being the GamesMaster and getting a kick out of your nasty crits and epic fails! I Love rewarding people for their creativity and imagination, enjoy roleplay especially when people play in character and stick to their alignment and beliefs. I will always tie in personal stories and quests to keep u hooked. I’m not afraid to put a voice on and just roll with it!
I have been a pay to play GM for a few years running several published adventures with very little player turnaround. I am currently not charging people to play in my games however.
Other games I've played are Only war, warhammer fantasy, rogue trader, Alien RPG.
Most recently I have found my new love; Tabletop board games. So much so I bough a load and spent days of my life scanning and converting them onto roll20. Please search for ‘Tabletop’ and join us if you like games such as Carcassone, king of a Tokyo, pandemic, Munchkin and Eldritch Horror!
I can only really play in the daytime UK timezone due to 'real life' commitments and when I'm not working.
