My first D&D experience was using the ancient blue books. The oldsters will know. That was back in 1978. I've been DM'ing since 1980 or so, working up through 3.5. I'm fully invested in 5.0, and have run several campaigns using the system. I have a vast trove of campaign material, experience, and knowledge. I love creating worlds and situations and having players figure a way through them. I haven't been able to do much face-to-face gaming, but I'm happy with online gaming. I've been gaming on this site fairly steadily since February of 2014, mostly DMing but I've played in a few.
I'm fine with the 5E core books, and I'm amenable to using other sources that are related. I'm also happy to consider bending the rules here and there but we will stick to the core rules for the most part. I'm all about ensuring people enjoy the experience, not about maximizing damage and leveling as quickly as possible.
