Started playing D&D 26 years ago during the 2nd edition days. My first DM was a power tripper who seemed to think it was him vs. us, which is how I ended up deciding to be a DM myself. I still remember setting up my first orc encounter with my brother so we could learn the mechanics, he was a blade singer with an NPC elven archer friend, shortly after that we began inviting other friends to play and next thing we knew we had a pretty steady group of regulars from our school playing once or twice a week and this lasted for about 10 years until folks moving away for college or jobs broke us up.
For 15 years I hadn't really played more than a few encounters and I wasn't really warm on converting my campaign to 4E, our old campaign binder sat on a shelf collecting dust. After a work trip lead to a random visit from a D&D friend, we started to chat and he mentioned that he'd been playing online and that 5E had combined a lot of what we'd liked from 2nd and 3rd Editions D&D. So now here we are restarting a campaign we created almost 20 years ago with the same core players but now on virtual table top.
TTRPG Experience: I've dabbled with a couple of other games Battletech, d20 Modern, d20 Star Wars and Dead Lands but I've spent the vast majority of my time as a DM for D&D 2nd, 3rd and 5th edition.
