I am a new player with very few sessions of D&D as the player and more or less a single session as the Dungeon master.
I'd been meaning to play TTRPGs for years now, but never really had the people/group for it. Eventually someone saw that I was eager and asked if I wanted to try and learn the game together, but unfortunately as an Aussie, setting up a game is like trying to wrestle a bear thanks to timezones. They also have other groups they play with which is more than fair.
In terms of content, I tend to lean more towards slightly homebrewed things as sometimes a character or idea doesn't work with what's available.. and sometimes something that already exists doesn't seem that enjoyable to play. But this isn't always the case and I'm more than willing to go without if it means I get the chance to play a game.
I do not currently own any modules, and despite having a mic, I can currently only play text only games. And I am willing to try out other TTRPGs besides D&D 5e
