Name: Paul S.
D&D Experience:
30+ years as a Dungeon Master across every era—Basic, AD&D, Birthright, 2E, 3.5, 5E, plus GenCon and tournament games. I've run more sessions than I can count, and I still get excited for every single one.
My Style:
Collaborative, high fantasy, and intrigue. I aim for a healthy balance of roleplay (social/carousing), combat, and strategy (problem-solving). I'm fluent in the mechanics and love letting player agency drive the story. When the players lead, everyone wins—including the DM.
What I Bring to the Table:
I can play or DM any style, but my real passion is worldbuilding: characters, NPCs, maps, encounters, handouts, audio clips, voices—the full toolkit.
I've run games for 6 to 14 players, from total beginners to seasoned veterans, in every setting since Greyhawk.
Rock-solid reliability. I've had to cancel a session maybe a handful of times in decades.
I have a regular player base and can bring in subs or NPCs whenever needed.
The Vibe I'm Looking For:
Players who get along, stay positive, love to collaborate, and bring humor and creativity. Winning through smart play—not overpowered builds—is where the magic happens.
A Little About Me:
Career professional and academic, married with successful adult kids. Geeky in all the right ways, zero weirdness. I've loved every minute of this hobby since middle school, and I'm not slowing down.
