Hi. My online friends call me Reaper or Reap (I have a grim reaper moto tattoo on my arm from my USMC days so I picked up the nickname and ran with it). I am a 36 y/o US Marine OIF vet whom is disabled so I don't work or have a schedule. I have nothing but free time, unfortunately. The old saying be careful what you wish for holds true. Anyways I spend a lot of my time playing video games (rpgs, shooters, survival, simulation, economy, ect) reading books (really big on Warhammer 40k novels), and occasionally watching tv. Am really big into futuristic sci fi and military stuff. I am Absolutely new to any table top game, I have always wanted to get into them but never have been able to (couldn't afford it before and didn't have access and now I cant really go out in person to game shops) but I finually decided to give roll20 a try after watching D&D crusaders series on youtube. I'm definitely not politically correct but I'm not a jerk, I am polite and will try to be nice and understanding to anyone no matter their politics or world view as long as they treat me the same. I don't see different opinions as a barrier for friendship. I just want to learn to play these games, meet new people, laugh and have fun.
Oh and the games listed below are games I am interested in learning to play, not do play. I have literally no experience playing any of them outside of video games though I am watching videos and reading the d&d new player rule introduction pdf and will be buying a rule book as soon as I figure out which edition to play. So if someone would like to take me under their wing in any of these games and mentor me that would be awesome.
Update: well after being unsuccessful at getting a game on here I ironically found out that my local VA hospital has a D&D group that they run and signed up. Played my first session of 5th edition a few days ago and had a blast. Only thing is it left me wanting more lol. So I'm still looking for another group on here for any of the below games but I at least know the basics of d&d 5e.
