Regarding TRPGs, I'm at my happiest when my characters (or the players of my games) do something clever, outstanding, and most importantly of all, unexpected. If I had to sum up my alignment, I would loosely peg myself as Lawful Neutral with a gentle lean towards Lawful Evil. I believe firmly in understanding a game's rules before attempting to change them. When you don't, you risk gaining false ideas of said game and are left wondering why these codependent rules don't work after you tossed one "silly" rule out. As a DM, I usually play things as by the book as I can manage. Keeping up with food, water, and ammo are things you can expect in my games. I am also a firm believer in God (may He make me a Death Domain Cleric some day), but I don't really believe in fairness as if it were some sort of fundamental law of reality. Life isn't fair and its a waste of time and resources to try and make it fair. Otherwise, I strive to make an engaging, living world for my players to be in and expect equivalent excellence from DMs I play with.
