Very, very longtime gamer, developer and beta tester. Heck I even beta tested Roll20 as you can tell by my Member-since tag. I am a world traveler, beer and wine geek, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I majored in Neuroscience, and currently am a Sr. Software Engineer for a Fortune 500 company. I read manga, watch anime, and don't have cable tv.
I started roleplaying begining in the early 80s with the pink D&D Basic set, up through Expert, Companions and Masters sets (never got in to Immortals). Then over to AD&D 2E, then D&D 3, 3.5, 4, and 5. I have looked through some other rulesets but never played, particularly Pathfinder which is heavily based on the open d20 rules from the 3.0-3.5 era of D&D. I'm also interested in Exalted, it looks very interesting.
I've played a wealth of online games, beta testing as well. My first MMORPG was Everquest on the Tribunal server, from there I went to DAOC, then Shadowbane, then WoW, where I lasted for quite a while in vanilla. I played through Lineage 2, EQ2, SWTOR, Guildwars 1&2, Blade & Soul, and am currently backing Camelot Unchained as well as Crowfall.
As far as board games, I have a massive collection. From early games that no one has heard of like Shadowlord SolarQuest and Hero Quest, to games like Terra Mystica, Blood Rage, Arkham Horror, Dominion and of course Settlers of Cataan. I've kickstarted a few of those as well, and am looking forward to playing Massive Darkness, which is similar to the out of print Hero Quest.
I enjoy card games as well, from simple family games, to games like Munchkin and even online games like Hex.
