I like adventure, discovery, risk, reward, and believe the heart of RPGs is the incredible responsive nature of worlds as adjudicated by human minds. I try to be an attentive, positive player, and I like making sure everyone has a chance to step up into the spotlight if they want to take it. I'm LGBTQIA+ friendly and won't play in games that aren't.
I've been a GM for around two decades, and played for most of that too. Most of my interest now is in games in the OSR (whether you call it OSR, *DREAM, adventure fantasy, or whatever), because I like the focus on player skill and the opportunity to experience wonder in strange places without feeling like I’m on a railroaded plot line. I've run a West Marches-style campaign, a published megadungeon, and another megadungeon I designed, and I'm always looking for ideas to add in to my own hodgepodge of house rules.
Outside of tabletop gaming, I like to explore odd indie video games, roguelikes, JRPGs, and adventure games. I love cooking and trying new foods (too bad we won't be playing IRL, because I like cooking for my players, like when I made them iron rations and hardtack or had per-dungeon themed teas). I mostly enjoy reading history, sociology/anthropology, and have started actively going through classic greats of fantasy. Terry Pratchett's humor and humanity have been big influences on me.
