Hi There! My name is Kyrie Golden and I have 10 years of experience behind the Game Masters screen. My journey started when I purchased a used copy of the 2nd edition PHB for Dungeons and Dragons and I have not looked back since, branching out into other systems and settings whenever I can. I find most of my time taken up rigorously poring over setting guides, expansions, and core books for oft overlooked systems. After alot of urging from my friends to try, I've decided to make a go of it and GM at a professional level.
How it works is simple. I ask that each of my players pay 10 dollars for every 3 hour session, with one caveat: I do NOT charge for any "Session 0" activities such as character creation assistance or a short orientation with any players who are joining an ongoing campaign to get them up to speed. If scheduling permits and I am notified ahead of time I am willing to run a six hour session for the adjusted price of 20 dollars per person. Please note that this does not mean I am willing to extend a game already in progress since this may conflict with another game I am running, prep work for another game I am running, or something else entirely.
I've chosen to run my games as a paid GM for a number of reasons. I was, initially, reluctant towards the concept when I first heard of it. As more and more of my players and fellow game masters suggested it too me I realized that a paid GM model could benefit everyone at the table greatly. if GM's are compensated for the amount of time that they put into their games (which I, and any other GM worth their salt will tell you, is a sizable chunk of our lives-not that I'm complaining!) that means they can invest more time and care in what they do. The more paying customers I have, the less time I can spend at work, instead spending those hours with my nose in an adventure module or mapping out a dungeon. So in return for the generosity of my players I can invest back into my games with goodies such as handouts, maps, and new adventures, either by buying published modules and books or having the time to sit down and lovingly craft my own.
I am a professional GM willing to work with your group. if you don't have a group, I'll help you find one. If you have a setting in mind, a genre you want to explore or a particular module or system your dying to try I'll run it no matter what. If you don't , I have a wide variety to choose from, which I'll be posting on this site intermittently.
May we soon meet, dice in hand!
