I remember tearing the paper off a red box set of D&D back in 1986 at Christmas. It was a revelation and soon I was recruiting everyone I knew to play along with me. My friends, and even my grandma were not immune from my begging. Over time, I was able to run some great campaigns in AD&D 2e, but alas, in college I drifted away from tabletop gaming.
In 2010 I got back into tabletop gaming and have been going strong ever since. I enjoy DM'ing to the most because I love when players are challenged and come up with incredible and fun solutions. Keeping the game moving and making each character feel useful and important is something I value.
As a player, I like to be the wildcard. I build PCs for RP value over min/max value and generally don't like the min/max discussion that happens in Pathfinder or 3.x DnD.
Games are meant to be fun, and RPGs are meant to be fun while allowing you to inhabit a wholly unique world. When that comes together with fun players and an engaged DM...it's nothing short of a magic missile to the brain!
