Let me start off with the most important information: timezone.
I am from and living in Germany, so I'm in GMT+1/+2 (depending on daylight saving time). Makes it sometimes difficult to set up games, but it's possible.
I've been playing and/or GMing TTRPGs for roundabout 22 years now, starting with Shadowrun, then moving on through a few niche RPGs like Legends of the Five Rings, Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader and A Song of Ice and Fire RPG before landing on D&D 5E for 7 to 8 years, with quick dips into Stars without Number and the FFG Star Wars RPG universe and a few months of Starfinder.
Despite the dominance of Sci-Fi games I played, I'm actually enjoying both Fantasy and Science-Fiction.
I like creating unusual characters, prefering roleplay over min-maxing stats. For example my first D&D character is a dwarven Beast Master Ranger - neither the greatest combination from a pure numbers view nor the most common combo either, but it leads to interesting roleplay.
To me as a person: 36 years old, working in IT and interested in all things nerdy: fantasy and science fiction across media, video games and actual science and technology, but also history. I've studied English at university and been exposed to speaking English during elementary school, when that wasn't the norm, staying with relatives in Canada for the summer vacations 6 times in total. Very fluent in (mostly American) English with a minimalistic accent, if at all having one. As a hobby I also do stream on Twitch, though being pressed for time as I am with RL, that is more sporadic than it used to be. But it also means I come equipped with a professional webcam and mic and am anything but shy around meeting new people in the WWW.
