As a fledgling DM, this is currently the second game I've ever ran. I've played in maybe a half dozen games before of DnD, but have also some experience in: Star Wars, Mutants and Masterminds, and Shadowrun. I prefer the rule based systems of DnD over the freeform Shadowrun type styles, but I enjoy both.
I believe I am preferring to run the games over play them, and am constantly learning more and more as I continue to host. I love all of my players, and nothing makes me happier than seeing them having fun. I enjoy encouraging camaraderie, seeing my players team up on Dota, scaring the hell out of them with big looming nasties, and having them scream at me because I say "and that is the end of today's session."
If any out there are looking to give a rookie DM a chance, I think I do pretty well. I don't know everything, and have made the wrong decisions sometimes, but I always seek fair and enjoyable play.
