I'm Eli, and I'm 30 years old. I am in the GMT+2 timezone. I am new to Roll20 and Tabletop Role Playing Games. I am interested in Text-Only sessions. I am uncomfortable with voice chat. I find it exhausting to speak to many people at once.

I have a video game background. I learned about D&D around 17 years ago from a favorite game of mine - Neverwinter Nights. Since those days, I played most of the known D&D video games such as Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Dark Sun and others. I am more or less familiar with some of the D&D rules. What I enjoy the most about RPGs is adventure, storytelling, solving mysteries and exploration of the unknown. I am particularly fond of the Forgotten Realms universe as it is so vast and rich in lore.

However, I feel that video games can be repetitive and limited to how a character might act in a situation. There isn't enough freedom and imagination to act as you believe your character would. Which is why I decided I wanted to learn how to play the original Tabletop RPGs.
