I am a new TTRPG player who started his journey last December and is looking to expand his horizons with the new hobby that he loves. I started like most people do, with a game of D&D 5e at his local college. Since then I have immersed myself in the hobby of TTRPGS, specifically in D&D. I love making characters just as much as the next person; but, it is the lore and story telling that I love most. I tend to research a ton of lore about races and their history though the editions before a make a character and then try to make an appropriate adaptation of that into the world I play in. I am currently trying to develop my writing skills so that I can break out of just trying to play my role in a party really well. My goal is to learn to add nuance to my writing without it coming off as my character is the 'chosen one' or the 'outcast of my society'.
Currently I am looking to play more 5e before I move to anything else, but I am extremely interested in giving other systems a shot.
