I started gaming when my grandmother bought me the new hot toy when I was 3 years old for Christmas, a Nintendo. All I had was the Duck Hunt / Mario cartridge, but that was enough to hook and line me! I mostly played RPG's growing up, but have also done a lot of online gaming including FPS's, RTS's, and various other genres. I got into playing D&D after falling in love with the Baldur's Gate series when I was about 13. Tabletop wise, I've been in groups that have done 2E, homebrew, and a very short 3E - several hundred hours of in-person D&D time total.
I recently looked into 5E and I am just loving it! The streamlined feats, attribute based all-kinds-of-stuff, the archetypes, the encouragement to roleplay! I haven't been this excited for a new D&D edition since AD&D! Though I currently have a bi-weekly group going, I would very much like to find another group of players to start a new campaign with, preferably from level 1!
Few more final, more personal things, that I think are important for people that I may be gaming with regularly long term with ought to know is that I'm a huge advocate of creating accepting, open spaces, not judging people, and generally only surrounding myself with good people. I don't let people come in and troll or talk that hate talk crap on my stream, so I would hope to find other like-minded mature people to game with here. That's not to say that I don't have a LOT of fun, but I do think it's important to ensure not to have that fun at another's expense.
