I guess you could call me a bit of a grognard. I have played RPGs since the early 80's. I'm a bit sick of D&D and its many descendants, and would prefer to play games that are different mechanically, thematically, or both. I am on Eastern Standard Time, and I work for a living, but otherwise have no life to speak of. On that basis, I'm pretty free on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I can do evenings on Tuesday or Thursday, but I would rather not play past 11 PM, 12 at the very latest. As a player, I tend to be more of a tactician than a roleplayer, although I can get into dramatizing my character once I become more comfortable with the group. I'm happy playing almost any sort of character, although I get the most satisfaction from being a 'Swiss Army Knife' type, someone who offers utility in almost every situation. I don't have to be the best at any one thing, as long as I can contribute something all the time.
