Currently:
Converted from D&D 3.5 up to 5e within Roll20. Solid base group.
We started with LMoP and have run a makeshift homebrew storyline using the Storm Coast as a place to live. They are currently in their mid-teens. It has taken time, but they put the time in and keep coming back for more.
History:
I've played D&D since 1976. I have watched the rules change for both the better and the worse. I have been the DM most of the time. This has taught me to be a very flexible PC.
Past systems I have played:
Shadowrun
White Wolf series (Vampire/Werewolf/Mage/etc)
Call of Cthulu
D&D (as mentioned) [but my first 'books' were in a 3 ring binder]
and a few strays other than that I may have tried but never got into:
Gurps
Paranoia
Munchkin
I just want to get that good feeling which comes with rolling that crit when you really needed it.
