My primary game, Of Fallen Empires, is my oldest campaign setting - developed since the early 1990's and it's the first one I've run here on Roll20. This game, previously played at Da Sorce, a comic book shop on Chicago's North-side - by necessity has been on hiatus due the Pandemic and other circumstances. As we go further, I may run groups on different games on D20, but overall this is our starting try for this site. Generally we are using the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons ruleset, with a custom setting and house rulings on which optional rules are being used, as well as some modified spell rules.
As I'm new to the online medium, please have some patience as I adapt my style to the mechanics as needed on the computer. As you might know - I'm John Burns, been DMing since the early to mid 1980's and I typically am a fan of some homebrew, as well as book rules, sage advice and the occasional tweaks to things that don't work right in the game for the players/characters, to help make them happier and fit their imagination of what they intend their characters to be/do.
