First started casually playing tabletop RPGs back in high school in the 90's and mainly played AD&D and Rifts. Didn't play for a few years and then got back into them in college with an amazing group that lasted about five years. We played tons of different systems including D&D 3 and 3.5, Rifts, Vampire, Werewolf, Shadow Run, Heroes Unlimited, Nightbane, Robotech, Star Wars, and a few others I've forgotten.
Didn't play again for a few more years until in the military around 2010 and played mainly D&D 4th edition (which I really didn't care for) and Star Wars for about a year. Next I found a group while living in Virginia around 2017 playing mainly Pathfinder which also lasted for about a year until moving to Nebraska.
So far I haven't been able to find a local group here so I'm trying out the whole online thing. My favorite systems were 3.5 and Pathfinder (which was basically 3.5 under a different name). I prefer games with clear rule sets like Pathfinder to games that are more ambiguous like the Vampire games but ultimately it's the other players and GM that make a gaming group great or not.
