Played original Chainmail, Basic Set and 1E as a teenager and started playing Adventurer's League this year with my son at our local game shop. I got my son the Stranger Things Starter Set and was surprised by the rule change. Several hours of YouTube later and I now see how D&D has evolved. Last week, I wanted to get my relatives together while stuck at home and have started a Pro account on Roll20 to DM games with them once a week. I've played a Discord game with our game shop after they stopped on site sessions using a dice roller and am prepared for Roll20 as well after a weekend preparing to DM my first game. As a once empty nester (kid's are now back), I am working on my favorite hobby again.
