Bio

I'm Tony, a 32 year old from Belgium. I started roleplaying in the early 2000's with some breaks in between, so a good 15-20 years now and have played my share of systems over those years. I prefer fantasy settings over sc-fi ones, more or less because i'd prefer to play characters capable of doing things that go beyond logic as realism just isn't quite for me; I have no issues with cause and effect though as even in fantasy, there should be some grounding and consistency.

I am a pretty chill player with good table manners; i'll mention it in advance if i'll run late or cannot make a session, i'll let everyone have their chance to interact and once i've found a group i like; i tend to be hard to get rid of. I want everyone to have fun while we tell a story together that'll be an emotional rollercoaster that is basicly like having a second life. I do not do character voices but i typically speak as the character when interacting with NPC's and appreciate the rebuddle being done in the same way from other players and the DM, sometimes the way an NPC phrases things will be more important than what he says after all.

I've been around the block and know what kind of games work for me and those that don't, here is a check list of things i know won't work for me incase you'd like to play with me.

  • I typically favor roleplay heavy games.
  • I have no interest in pvp games. I'd much prefer to have games where the group is on the same page in terms of trying to work together and isn't trying to murder or screw eachother over every chance they get.
  • I loathe the excuse "that is what my character would do" for bad behavior, ESPECIALLY when it is ruining other peoples fun.
  • I can appreciate a game that'll present scenario's that are open ended and ever evolving based upon player decisions and actions, i'm not a huge fan of modules or predetermined endings.
  • I would prefer to be treated as an individual who is a part of a group rather so than every individuals action reflecting upon all of us. Too often i've played with the sticky fingers rogue who went off on his own and stole something from an important NPC, then suddenly my relation with said NPC is ruined despite not being involved or necessary approving in or out of character. This doesn't make sense, if you are the game master who'll lump everyone together constantly... your game won't be my cup of tea.
