Greetings, stranger! My name is Sheph, of course. I started my role-playing journey when I was young. My best friend got his hands on some D&D books and we played just the two of us in my grandmothers house. I remember we made characters and fought a goblin, and rolled dice. The experience seems shallow now, but I'm sure back then it was so enthralling imagining the scenario and doing fun math.
Fast forward a few years and my friend and I have found a group to play with. Stereotypical D&D group: mountain dew, pizza, one girlfriend, lots of fun. I did quit for a while, but I came back to the same group years later having tons of fun until the DM (like all DMs do at some point) got tired of DMing. At which point, I decided it was time for me to step up to the plate and learn how to DM.
I bumbled my way through that first campaign, but I researched how to DM effectively and watched tons of videos. I gained DM role models like Chris Perkins, and became more and more familiar with the system. Eventually, I also got bored with DMing, but nobody was willing to step up to the plate and replace me, so I rebooted my world instead and switched my group over to Pathfinder. If they were going to keep making me DM, I would use the system I had begun to like.
Today, my group plays Pathfinder, and I am no longer the GM! Hooray! I have taken an interest in world building though, and seek to try GMing once more online. I would also be interested in playing a PC in any Pathfinder games which focus on role playing. I don't want to have characters who can't compete with min maxers in numbers. It's no fun if the GM just throws monsters at you.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me, stranger, and best wishes to you! :)
