Hey! Most people call me Matt, but you'll probably know me as your DM (or GM). Took up the mantle a while ago and have a passion for improving my abilities as well as the enjoyment of those that are gracious enough to sit at my metaphorical table. My experience initially revolved around D&D 3.5, a common gateway system for most in my age group. From there I branched out to 40k, Shadowrun, Runequest and many others. My system familiarity spans a wide range, but time has shown me to be set in my ways, preferring the same types of games that I was originally exposed to.
My games tend to be grounded and are grittier than most other games I've been apart of as a player. (Your mileage will vary obviously) That doesn't mean I'm lopping off heads left and right or forcing you to track every drop of your water during your journey, but it does mean I believe in a roleplaying world with realistic consequence and expectations. If you play a game with me, expect me to encourage you to roleplay as opposed to "roll"-play. Expect deadly and fast paced fights that force you to think. Expect a detailed game world that rewards you for paying attention and becoming invested. Expect varied and thought out races that are not monocultural and/or humans with a different coat of paint. If this sounds like something you will enjoy I promise I'll do my best to make sure that you have a great time!
