Hi dudes,
I'm Matt, an adult with Asperger's Syndrome (like many here, I'll bet), and the obsessiveness that comes with it. As you can see, I have over 50 hours of game time in as I write this, but there is still MUCH I have to learn. I'm relatively familiar with the rules of Pathfinder, but if someone wants me for an RPG with similar rules, I'm sure I can adapt. I have a very mild temperament, which is good in the sense that I won't get into any power struggles with anyone, but bad because you may not feel my presence much. I function well when presented with clear options or marching orders, but poorly when given open-ended questions like "What do you do?"
I try to build characters in a simplistic way; that is, they will cause the fewest possible rolls of extra, unnecessary dice. I don't know how well that's actually worked, but my intent is to keep the action moving. I'd like to try my hand at the Sorcerer or Ranger class next. If a Sorcerer, I'll be a sort of "red mage" that can damage enemies, but focuses on providing support to allies (including item-craft). If a Ranger, I'll arrange a very lopsided set of ability scores with survival as the key interest. Either way, I'll probably go for "good" aligned characters ready to define an objective and see it accomplished.
I still consider myself a novice, so expect a few questions that experts would consider obvious. I may also look to the "sage" character for guidance, though I'll try to minimize out-of-character dialogue. I don't voice-act without a script, and I'm no good at describing attacks, so you can't rely on me for those things. However, I can be relied upon to consistently show up five or ten minutes early for scheduled sessions. I prefer Monday, Wednesday, or Friday sessions, and I can stick with them from 5:00-10:00 EST. My microphone is good, and I'm familiar with basic d20 tools.
If you have other questions for me, let me know.
