Old school AD&D 2nd and 3rd edition player & Dungeon Master. Currently building a 5th Edition D&D campaign and am looking for 1-3 more players to join in the fun! Looking for mature players ONLY! My friends and I are in our 40's and met playing World of Warcraft about a decade ago. I've been gaming since I can remember. First with the Atari, Intellivision, and even playing King's Quest on the Commodore 64! Sci-Fi, Medieval, and Fantasy have always been a part of my favorite genres. I prefer role-playing games over 1st person shooters any day, so you can find me rolling dice, reading fantasy books (Zork, The Savage Sword of Conan Comics, Forgotten Realms, Shannara Chronicles anyone?) watching Sci-Fi films, or playing games like Final Fantasy. Currently I'm playing Raid: Shadow Legends. Skyrim, Game of Thrones, and Vampire movies are major draws of my creative inspiration for my D&D Campaigns and Adventures.
As for my mundane home life, I've been married for 4 years to my lovely wife Joanne. I do not have any children, unless you count my two tuxedo cats Aiden and Juan. Joanne has a son with her ex-husband who is now 20 years old. We don't see him much. I am an avid movie-goer, used to be a movie projectionist at a movie theater, and am a photographer. I enjoy European Goth Rock, Alternative, and Techno music. I love to cook, go fishing, and am working on turning my thumbs green as I delve deeper and deeper into planting, gardening, and growing herbs, flowers, succulents, plants, and various fruit trees.
I am disabled, due to a seizure disorder, which decided to completely throw my life into upheaval about 5 years ago. Prior to that, I was healthy as a horse! So, now that I am unable to work, I have been looking into other things to make my life meaningful and fulfilling. Dungeons & Dragons was something I loved to play as a teenager, so why not go back to my roots?
Gameplay style and plans: For this upcoming D&D 5e Campaign, I will be using Discord and most likely Zoom or some other Video Chat program that everyone can agree on. I'm very easy-going and a forgiving DM. I tend to give out more "treasure" and "items of magical power" than other DMs might. Some of it I do without thinking of the consequences of my own decisions, but others have very specific purposes. This campaign promises to be EPIC in the sense that there is a very real possibility of traveling to other worlds within the campaign setting. This is something I have never attempted in all my 30-ish years of playing D&D. I'm looking at the 5th edition rules, characters, monsters, gods, magic items, etc., as a way to introduce many elements to my players. I'm not the type of DM who makes it his main objective to kill off a PC at a whim. I'm actually your biggest cheerleader, despite the fact that I will make challenging and often difficult encounters and adventures for you. I do my utmost to create a detailed and rich environment during every leg of your adventures, travels, and encounters so you can visualize yourself being there in person.
