I've played a several Role Playing games in my time. D&D 2e, Star Frontiers, an adaptation of Indiana Jones and Star wars. But D&D 5e has brought me back. I love the simplicity of the rules.

In the game I've recently played on Roll20, I've found a lot about myself and the players. I truly view D&D as a strategy and tactical game, thriving on the combat and the unique ways the players find ways through their challenges. I'm not as good at the role-playing (definitely not Matthew Mercer), but know the importance of building the story and the need for conversations with characters and enemies to enhance the story telling of the game. I enjoy playing in the world of Forgotten Realms, so I like to stick to the gods and characters of that world.

Rules are important in the simple fact of maintaining good expectations between the DM and the players. I ask that you respect them, not as a control concept, but one of respect for everyone playing. I won't beat them over people's head, but may subtlety use some situations to clarify how I play if there is any confusion to once again establish trust and expectations. It's OK to be late or need to leave early, but please notify the group well ahead of time to know our expectations and adapt play if necessary. If I give you a friendly reminder of rules violated that I believe detract from the respect of others playing, please own up and make every effort to take my criticism constructively. I am very easy going, so please don't take offense. View my Code of Conduct.

A little more about me...

I've a great life and career, so far. I started out as an Avionics Troublshooter on the flight deck of a carrier. Since then I moved into designing processors for Intel corporation, but have since moved back to my troubleshooting roots working on equipment and performing inspections for the nuclear power industry.

I'm married and have 2 wonderful daughters. One of my daughters has just recently got involved in 5e gaming. It's great introducing her to something that uses imagination and social interaction.

Remote gaming seems like and awesome option for me, as I travel at times so getting together with a local group can be challenging.

Hopefully I see you in one of my games!
