At a very young age I played with the older kids on the block. I was mesmerized watching them play D&D using a huge Elastolin Castle. Armed with hand-me-down Moldvey books and modules we started making up the rules and comically using monster stats blocks from beat up monster books. A few years later the brand new Mentzer '83 Redbox and Fiend Folio arrived as gifts. Gaming continued on into high school. Fastforward through a 15 year hiatus due to school and kids. In 2008, it was time to return to the hobby with my kids. Pathfinder playtests at Reaper Miniatures in Denton quickly ushered me right back into the fold. Campaigns using 3.75 were fun, then I pulled back the reigns and we got into 1st ed classic modules, and DCCRPG. NTRPGCON has been a blast the past few years. Because of it, my gaming highlights now include: my son and I gaming with: Frank Mentzer as my DM, Lawrence Shick running a "reverse" White Plume Mountain, and Edgar Johnson running "Against the Atomic Overlords". Aced my luck rolls on those experiences. Lately, I run a mishmash of 5e and the other systems for a weekly family homegame. **my other hat has a tux penguin on it
